As we toss in the turbulence of the grieving process, we grasp at small fragments (affirmations) in the stormy waters, which help us to:
- steady our emotions
- believe in ourselves and our capabilities
- gain insight into a more optimistic area of our lives
These affirmations also help us to connect with our Loved Ones who, like the stars above, continue to shine brightly as they live on, guiding us in unfamiliar waters.
We create short, present-tense, positive affirmations and write them on small pieces of paper which we have easy access to, or we record them and play them back to ourselves whenever we feel the need.
Affirmations steady us, soothe us, and keep us sailing as we travel through the stormy waters, and also as we connect with our Loved Ones above.
