The sensational artist in us – who conveys who we are in how we design, decorate, and perform, with a colourful spirit – continues to sweeten and advance our world, every single day. Like a birthmark, we are born with it. It is unique. It shows up at different times and places. It is our talent.
We tap into our talents by releasing ourselves into a brilliant, creative realm, where we allow ourselves to be lost and to be found, to be led and to follow, and to float in a timeless sea of memories, awareness, passion, and vision.
Our talents sweeten the world by making it
~ more beautiful; through art, landscaping, and colourful decorations
~ more spirited; through entertainment, games, and open communications
~ more functional; through architecture, transportation, and medical innovations
Talking or writing about our talents is not bragging
If we say the following out loud – ‘I am passionate about hairdressing; the way I sculpt the hair to frame a face, or add colour for vibrancy, or trim handsome features, or help select a wig for a cancer patient; all this to add style and uniqueness to the already beautiful people I meet.’ – is this bragging?
We let future generations know the beauty of their bloodline
We would love to read the following written a few hundred years ago by one of our ancestors:
‘Every Saturday, after dark, I would hitch up the wagon and head into town where I played the fiddle at the dance hall.’
Perhaps, after reading this, many of the writer’s future generations may believe that they are musically talented too, and they may nurture the gift, and then, who can tell where that may lead?
We let our descendants know about our talents so that they will be proud of our honesty, and also proud about how rich their bloodline is. Perhaps many life-long relationships were ignited at the dance hall.
No legacy is as rich as ‘honesty about our achievements.’
We don’t hold back on what it is we have done, or are still doing. We own our actions. We own our talents. We put on some good Italian music and describe how we cook our lasagna: With love. With joy. With great ‘passione!’
Our talents are priceless gifts to both ourselves, and to others, who may be inspired by them to fulfill their dreams.
Our talents keep on giving
and this keeps us living
generation after generation.
