A Love Letter to our Child is a Timeless and Priceless Gift

Our Love Letters tell all; whether they accompany a birthday gift, a graduation gift, or whether they are given quite randomly, for love’s sake. Our letters are a wonderful platform where we express our deepest emotions, and the good news is— the words we write will remain engraved forever in the history of time.

The Letter
As we go through the various stages of our child’s life, we reflect on our journey together.

  1. The pregnancy and their birth – we describe it all
  2. Their infant years – we outline their milestones
  3. Their childhood – we describe how they grow, and how we feel about motherhood or fatherhood
  4. Their teenage years – we describe their creativity and brave-heartedness through any challenges they face – we may use some humour here – and we praise them for overcoming, and growing
  5. Their young adult years – we describe the joy we feel about new beginnings with their careers, marriage, children etc.
  6. The present day – we express our gratitude for having them in our lives, and how we look forward to a bright future together
  7. We close by thanking them for being who they truly are, deep down at their core

Some of the themes we structure our letter around

  1. Our journey together
  2. They are our hero
  3. They are a shining star in our family tree
  4. They are a gift
  5. The strength of family
  6. What life would have been like up to this point without them

On a Spiritual Note
If our belief affirms reincarnation, we describe how we, and our child, might be kindred spirits or soul mates, how we believe we have been together for more than one lifetime – as mother/father and child, or reversed roles – and how souls choose to incarnate together again in order to advance in wisdom during their earthly lives.

An Acrostic Poem is a wonderful way to end our letter, e.g. to Beth:
B – beautiful, brave
E – enduring, effervescent
T – talented, trusting
H – helpful, humorous, heart filled with love.

This Christmas, or any other upcoming celebration, we take a moment to amplify the spirit of the season/occasion with personal, priceless words, in the form of an adoring love letter to our child.

No matter what or how we teach our children, the core of our tutoring is Love.
